COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho – The North Dakota State women's golf team moved up two spots to finish in seventh place at the Couer d'Alene Resort Invitational on Tuesday afternoon.
The Bison posted rounds of 296, 294, and 286 for a three-round total of 876 to finish in seventh in the 13-team tournament. UC Davis (288-279-278--845) remained in first place to take the tournament win with a final score of 845. San Francisco (287-295-278--860) moved up two spots to take second place, while Seattle (289-280-296--865) dropped down to third place, tying Gonzaga (284-291-290--865).
Elise Hoven (73-69-69--211) fired a career-low 54-hole total of 211 to finish in fourth place. The Grafton, Wis., native tied a career-low 69 in round three after recording four birdies. It marked her fourth career top five finish. Additionally, her 54-hole total of 211 ranks tied for the third-lowest in NDSU history.
Leah Skaar (75-73-72--220) posted a season-low 54-hole total of 220 to finish tied for 29th place. The Gold Canyon, Ariz., native notched two birdies in the final round to card a +1 on the par 71 course.
Norah Roberts (75-76-71--222) tied a season-low 54-hole of 222 to finish tied for 32nd place after posting an even 71 in round three.
Madi Hicks (73-77-74--224) finished two strokes behind to come in 37th place.
Cora Larson (80-76-76--232) rounded out the Bison tied for 62nd place.
Catherine Monty (80-73-77--230) competed as an individual for the Bison and finished tied for 54th place.
The Bison will be back in action at the Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational on Oct. 2-3.
