SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The North Dakota State women's cross country team has been voted the preseason favorite to claim the 2023 Summit League cross country championship, according to the coaches' poll released by the league office.

The Bison women were picked to finish atop the league with 45 total points and three of the eight first-place votes in the poll. The South Dakota State women claimed four first-place votes and 42 total points for second, while North Dakota earned the remaining first-place vote and 38 points for third.

NDSU won the Summit League team title by a 30-point margin last season. The Bison women have captured five conference team cross country championships since 2011.
