BROOKINGS, S.D. – The North Dakota State University women's cross country team captured the SDSU Classic team title on Friday evening at Edgebrook Golf Course, led by freshman
Logan Harz who took second place overall in her first collegiate race.
The Bison women totaled 41 points in the team standings for the victory, beating second-place South Dakota State with 46 points. South Dakota took third with 61, and North Dakota was fourth with a score of 112.
Harz, a true freshman from Oakbank, Manitoba, paced NDSU in her first race as a Bison. She took second overall with a time of 17:57.64 for the five-kilometer course. Junior
Reagan Baesler finished sixth in 18:08.57, and
Hope Pringle placed 10th in 18:22.18.
Sophomore
Aleah Miller took 12th for NDSU in 18:30.52, and junior
Grace Link completed the team scoring for the Bison in 18:37.60 for 14th place. NDSU also had
Allie Wahlund (18:38.51) in 15th,
Alexis Roehl (18:45.68) in 21st, and redshirt freshman
Kate LeBlanc (18:45.68) in 22nd.
The Bison will compete next at the Roy Griak Invitational hosted by Minnesota on Sept. 22.
