SEDONA, Ariz. – North Dakota State women's golf closed out the Red Rocks Invitational on Sunday at the Oakcreek Country Club, taking 12
th overall in the 20-team field.
Madi Hicks led the way for the Bison again on day two, finishing in a tie for 23
rd overall. Hicks, one of the few who finished round two on day one, fired a 75 in the final round, scoring a pair of birdies and 10 pars to highlight her day. Hicks finished the event at +6.
Norah Roberts and
Elise Hoven took 37
th overall for the Bison finishing tied at +9 for the event. Roberts, who also finished round two yesterday, shot a 76 in the final round to finish second in scoring on the day for NDSU. Roberts was tied for a team best three birdies in the final round.
Hoven had to wrap up round two Sunday morning, shooting a par on her final hole to close the second round with a 75. In the final round, Hoven recorded a pair of birdies en route to a 77 to close her tournament.
Catherine Monty wrapped up the scoring for the Bison in the final round, as she matched Hoven with a 77 on the final day. Monty had a pair of birdies in the third round and closed out the event at +20, finishing in 90
th in the 115-golfer field.
Leah Skaar wrapped up her second round with a birdie to begin the final day, as she closed out round two with a 78. In the final round, Skaar matched Roberts with a team high three birdies in the final round, but finished with a 79 to close the event. Skaar finished at +14 for the event in 65
th.
As a team, the Bison closed round two with a 304 and then shot a 305 in the final round, shooting a +36 for the event.
The Bison will be off for two weeks before returning to action at the Golfweek/Any Given Tuesday event held at the Caledonia Golf Club in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. The event will run from April 1-3.
