PAWLEY'S ISLAND, S.C. –
Norah Roberts is tied for second place on the leaderboard as the North Dakota State women's golf team is positioned in sixth place after the opening round at the Golfweek/AGT Intercollegiate at the Caledonia Golf & Fish Club on Monday afternoon.
Roberts carded a career-best 69 (-2) on the par 71 course and is one stroke behind Sarah Yoo from Cal Poly, who posted a 68 (-3) in round one to grab the top spot. Roberts was even on 12 holes and recorded four birdies.
Elise Hoven is also inside the top 25 tied for 21st place coming in with a 74 (+3). She carded an eagle on hole 15 and was even on 13 holes.
Madi Hicks notched a 75 (+4) and was even on 14-of-18 holes to come in tied for 31st place.
Leah Skaar notched a 77 and is slotted tied for 51st place, while
Catherine Monty closed out the group with an 80 and is tied for 82nd place.
Cora Larson, who competed as an individual, is tied for 13th place on the leaderboard. She carded a 73 (+2) after firing five birdies.
As a team, the Bison carded a 295 in the first round and sit in sixth place in the 19-team tournament. Cal Poly (289) is in first place with High Point (290) one stroke back in second place. USC Upstate (293) closes out the top three in third place.
