Highland Meadows Intercollegiate Final Results

SYLVANIA, Ohio – North Dakota State men's golf took fifth overall at the Highland Meadows Intercollegiate on Tuesday, posting a +4 for the two-day event hosted by Bowling Green at Highland Meadows Golf Club.

The Bison shot a -1 round of 283, their best round of the tournament, to stay firm in fifth place in the 11-team event. Minnesota claimed the team title at -19, with Miami (Ohio) taking second at -10.

Nate Adams and Jack Johnson led the way for the Bison in the final round, each shooting a -1 score of 70. Adams carded two birdies and one bogey, while Johnson carded three birdies and two bogeys on the day. Adams finished in a tie for 12^th at -2 for the event. Johnson finished even and in a tie for 19^th.

Ian Simonich shot even par in the final round and Jake Skarperud shot a +1 round of 72 to cap the scoring rounds for NDSU on the day. Both golfers carded three birdies in the round. Skarperud finished at +3 for the event in a tie for 28^th. Simonich was +9 and finished in a tie for 46^th.

Josh Galvin closed his event at +5 after a 73 in the final round. Galvin finished in a tie for 34^th overall. Galvin had a team high four birdies on the day. Gavin Cronkhite, playing as an individual, also shot a 73 in the final round and finished the event in a tie for 62^nd at +18.

The Bison will get right back to action on Friday, April 19 with the first of three days at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate hosted by Ohio State University at the OSU – Scarlet Course. The event is the final tournament for NDSU before the Summit League Championship.
