The Course
Club Campestre Monterrey's golf course finished construction in 1955, initially designed by John Bredamus and finished by architect Larry Hughes. The whole course underwent a renovation in 1993, which featured replacements of the fairway grass (Common Bermuda to Bermuda 419) and the putting surface (changed to Bent A-4). In 1997, architect William Love brought forth his vision of expanding the course, and nine more holes were subsequently added on. The three nine-hole tracks, named Silla, Mitras, and Sierra feature tree-lined fairways, immaculate grass conditions, and the ability for golfers to play creatively.
Last Time Out
The Bison collected their third fourth-place finish of the season at the Zach Johnson Invitational in West Des Moines, Iowa. The tournament will be hosted on the Sierra-Silla track, which sits at 7,258 yards from the back tees and boasts an average par-3 length of 201 yards.
