Ten Bison on MVFC Preseason Team; NDSU Picked Second

ST. LOUIS – North Dakota State had 10 players on the Missouri Valley Football Conference preseason team as selected by a vote of the league's head coaches, media and communications directors announced Monday, July 22.
North Dakota State was picked to finish second in the conference behind two-time defending national champion South Dakota State. South Dakota was third in the poll followed by Southern Illinois fourth, North Dakota fifth and Illinois State sixth.
Youngstown State, Northern Iowa, Missouri State, Indiana State and Murray State rounded out the preseason poll in order.
Six NDSU players earned spots on the preseason All-MVFC first team, including Hunter Brozio as the first team fullback and long snapper. Others on the first team were offensive lineman Grey Zabel, defensive linemen Dylan Hendricks and Eli Mostaert, linebacker Logan Kopp and safety Cole Wisniewski.
NDSU's four second team selections were quarterback Cam Miller, tight end Joe Stoffel, offensive lineman Mason Miller and placekicker Griffin Crosa.
Bison wide receiver and return specialist RaJa Nelson earned honorable mention as an all-purpose player, and safety Sam Jung was also an honorable mention.
North Dakota State is scheduled to open the 2024 season against the Colorado Buffaloes on Thursday, Aug. 29, with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. CT / 6 p.m. MT on ESPN.
