OXBOW, N.D. –
Elise Hoven and
Madi Hicks both finished tied for first place to help lift the North Dakota State women's golf team to a win at the NDSU Invitational on Wednesday afternoon at Oxbow Country Club.
Hoven (76-72--148) carded an even 72 in the final round with three birdies to finish tied for first place. Hicks (78-70--148) climbed up five spots after recording a 70 (-2) in the second round with four birdies. The Victoria, Minn., native posted a career-low 36-hole total of 148 to finish tied for first place.
Norah Roberts (76-74--150) and
Hannah Dunk (77-73--150) both finished two strokes back tied for third place.
Avery Bartels (76-75--151) was slotted in sixth place and
Cora Larson (80-73--153) also cracked the top 10 tied for seventh place.
Anna Huettl (83-75--158) was positioned tied for 13th place and
Lily Vincelli (85-80--165) came in tied for 22nd place.
Jo Baranczyk (86-82--168) closed out the group of individuals tied for 25th place.
As a team, the Bison assembled rounds of 305 and 288 for a 36-hole total of 593 to win the NDSU Invitational. North Dakota (317-305--622) came in second place and South Dakota (326-305--631) finished in third place.
