SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Junior middle blocker
Arianna Blohm has been named the Kwik Star Summit League Defensive Peak Performer of the Week for the first time in her career, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Blohm helped the Bison (11-4, 5-0 Summit) stay unbeaten in Summit league play with back-to-back wins over Oral Roberts and Denver. It marked the second time in the last four seasons NDSU has started league play with a 5-0 mark.
Blohm led the Bison with a team-high 10 total blocks and averaged a team-best 1.25 per set. She also added 19 total kills with a .444 hitting percentage with only three errors on the offensive side. The Spring Valley, Minn., native has posted at least four total blocks in each of the last five matches.
Blohm totaled a team-best four total blocks with nine kills in the 3-2 win over Oral Roberts. She closed the week with a match-high six total blocks, 10 kills and a .714 hitting percentage to help lift NDSU to a 3-0 victory over Denver.

NDSU will be back in action at South Dakota State on Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. The Bison and Jackrabbits are currently tied for first place in the Summit League standings with a 5-0 record in conference play.
