CORVALLIS, Ore. – The North Dakota State men's basketball team led 65-64 with just over two minutes remaining, but Oregon State scored a bucket with 2.4 seconds left to pull out a 67-65 win in the season opener on Monday night at Gill Coliseum.

NDSU led multiple times in the second half and rallied to erase a six-point deficit in the final minutes. Trailing 61-55, the Bison rattled off a 10-3 run to go up 65-64 with just over two minutes left.

Oregon State's Josiah Lake II scored a driving layup in traffic with 2.4 seconds on the clock to give the Beavers the win.

Andy Stefonowicz put up nine points, seven rebounds and four assists for the Bison.

The Bison shot 39 percent for the game, compared to 44 percent for the Beavers. NDSU won the rebounding battle, including 11 offensive boards, and committed only seven turnovers in the game.
