EL PASO, Texas – The North Dakota State men's basketball team lost to host UTEP on Monday evening at the Don Haskins Sun Bowl Invitational, 76-66. The Bison fell to 10-5 on the season.

NDSU erased an early 12-point deficit to lead 36-32 at halftime. The game was tied 66-66 following a pair of free throws by
Trevian Carson with 3:59 to play. UTEP closed the game on a 10-0 run to claim the victory.

Carson finished with 23 points, eight rebounds, three assists and three steals to lead the Bison. Sophomore
Treyson Anderson scored 11 points.

NDSU shot 50 percent for the game but went 3-for-16 (19 percent) from three-point range and committed 16 turnovers.

The Bison will open Summit League play at home vs. South Dakota on Wednesday, Dec. 31. Tip is set for 4 p.m.
