NDSU Women’s Golf Third After Day One of Jackrabbit Invitational

BOULDER CITY, Nev – Sophomore Hannah Dunk is in fifth place after 36-holes to help the North Dakota State women's golf team sit in third place after the first two rounds of the Jackrabbit Invitational.

Dunk (75-68—143) is the top Bison after two rounds of play and sits in fifth place in the 92-golfer field with a score of -1, after shooting -4 in the second round. Firing six birdies in round two, her career-low 68 ranks tied for the seventh-lowest in a single round in Bison history.

Elise Hoven (73-73—146) is just behind in a tie for eighth after sinking three birdies in the first round and another four birdies in a row in the second round to finish +2 on the day.

Madi Hicks (76-73—149) carded four birdies in the first round and shot +1 in the second round to finish in a tie for 23rd place at +5. Norah Roberts (77-73—150) is positioned just behind at +6 in a tie for 27th place. 

Cora Larson (76-78—154) is in a tie for 43rd place after finishing +10 on the day and Avery Bartels (77-81—158), who is playing as an individual, is tied for 53rd place at +14.

As a team, NDSU (300-287—587) is in third place at +11 in the 15-team tournament. South Dakota State (289-292—581) is the current leader at +5 with St. Thomas (300-282—582) just behind at +6.
