Frost Helps Guide NDSU Women’s Basketball Past Denver, 95-55

FARGO, N.D. – Marisa Frost netted a season-high 22 points to help the North Dakota State women's basketball team roll past Denver, 95-55, on Thursday night inside the Scheels Center at the Sanford Health Athletic Complex.
With the win, the Bison improve 19-2 (8-0 Summit) and extend their win streak to 17 games, which is the second-longest active win streak in the nation behind UConn (38). Denver drops to 9-12 (3-5 Summit) with the loss.
The Bison shot a season-best 61.7 percent (37-60) from the field and tied a season-high 11 triples with nine different players reaching the scoring column. Frost led the way with a season-best 22 points on 9-of-11 shooting from the field, while Avery Koenen totaled 17 points with eight rebounds. Abby Krzewinski and Karrington Asp both netted 12 points each and Jocelyn Schiller posted 11 points with four assists.
After opening up a 20-11 lead after the first quarter, the Bison erupted in the second frame outscoring the Pioneers, 28-7, after draining six triples in the quarter. NDSU closed the half with 15 straight points finished off by a jumper from Asp as time expired to open up a 48-18 lead at the break. The Bison, who never trailed in the contest, closed out the final two quarters to earn the 95-55 win.
NDSU will continue its homestand hosting Oral Roberts on Saturday. Tip-off is set for 1:00 p.m.
