Norah Roberts claimed her first career victory with senior
Madi Hicks the runner-up to secure the tournament title for North Dakota State women's golf team at the El Campeon collegiate at Mission Inn Resort on Tuesday afternoon.
Roberts (73-77-77—227) earned her first collegiate victory after the last 23 holes of the event. The Caledonia, Wis., native finished round two with a score of +5, carding three birdies and nine holes at par in the middle round. Roberts was even through 14 holes in the final round to finish +5 and +11 overall.
Hicks (75-73-80—228) was just one stroke off the lead to claim second place. Hicks shot her best round of the tournament in the second, carding three birdies and 11 holes at par to finish +1. The senior added three more birdies in the final round to finish +8 on the day, and +12 overall.
Jeri Lafleche (80-76-83—239) picked up her first career top 10 finish. Lafleche, who played as an individual, tallied her best round of the event in the middle round, firing three birdies and 10 holes at par to finish +4. The freshman finished +11 in the final round to land in a tie for eighth place at +23 overall.
Cora Larson (77-84-82—243) finished just outside of the top 10 in a tie for 12th place at +27. Larson finished round two +12 and round three +10.
Lily Vincelli (79-80-86—245),
Avery Bartels (83-83-81—247) and
Bella Leonhart (85-83-79—247) all finished just behind Larson. Vincelli, who played as an individual, ended +8 after finishing the remainder of the second round and shot +14 in the final round to land in 19th at +29 overall. Bartels and Leonhart tied for 20th place at +31 overall. Bartels carded rounds of +11 and her best round in the last 18-holes of +9. Leonhart, who played as an individual, finished rounds two and three with scores of +11 and +7.
Hannah Dunk (83-89-80—252) wrap up the competing Bison. Dunk tallied rounds of +17 and +8 to finish in a tie for 30th at +36 overall.
As a team, the Bison (308-317-318—943) shot rounds of +29 and +30 to claim their second tournament title of the year. NDSU finished +79, four strokes ahead of runners-up Longwood (314-316-317—947).

The Bison will take a full week off before continuing their spring season at the SoCal Spring Invitational in Camarillo, California on March 8-10.
