SAN JACINTO, Calif. – Three Bison are positioned inside the top 10 after day one at the Soboba Springs Classic at Soboba Springs Golf Course on Wednesday afternoon.
Madi Hicks leads the Bison after posting a 77 (+5) with three birdies to sit tied for sixth place.
Norah Roberts is tied for eighth place after carding a 78 (+6) and was even on 12 holes.
Avery Bartels is also tied for 10th place with a 79 (+7) and was even on 11 holes.
Hannah Dunk and
Cora Larson are tied for 13th place with an 80 (+8). Dunk was even on 12 holes, while Larson notched one birdie and was even on 11 holes.
Jeri Lafleche competed as an individual and is in 19th place with an 81 (+9) in the opening round.
As a team, the Bison carded a 314 and sit four strokes off the lead. Fresno State (310) is in the top spot and CSU Northridge (312) is in second place.
