SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Junior right-handed pitcher Zak Szabo has been named the Summit League Kwik Star Peak Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Szabo posted a team-high seven strikeouts over two relief appearances for the Bison last week. He notched a 0.00 ERA and limited opponents to a .227 batting average across two appearances. Szabo contributed 4.1 scoreless frames with five strikeouts and no walks in the 5-2 win over Vanderbilt in the series finale.

Szabo becomes the second Bison pitcher to win the award this season after Parker Puetz was named the Peak Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 17.
