DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Senior
Rylin Petry sits just outside of the top ten to lead the Bison through the first 36-holes of the Sam Ryder Intercollegiate at LPGA International – Hills Course on Monday afternoon.
Petry (76-70—146) is the top Bison through the first two rounds, landing just outside of the top ten in a tie for 14
th. Petry was +4 in the first round, carding one birdie on hole eight and 12 holes at par. In the middle round, Petry fired four birdies and was even through another 12 holes to finish -2 in the round, and +2 overall.
Jake Skarperud (76-73—149) is positioned three shots behind Petry at +5 in tie for 31
st. Skarperud carded two birdies in the first round and 12 holes at an even-par to finish +4. The senior added three more birdies and another 12 holes at par to finish +1 in round two.
Andrew Ballou (76-78—154) and
Gabe Benson (79-80—159) were the final Bison scorers for both rounds. Ballou logged two birdies in each round and finished +4 in round one and +6 in round two to land in a tie for 57
th at +10 overall. Benson carded a birdie on the 18
th hole in the first round to finish +7. Benson fired the lone NDSU eagle on hole two in the second round, and added one more birdie on hole three, to finish +8 after the middle 18-holes and +15 overall in a tie for 69
th.
Carter White (81-85—166) and
Max Wilson (78-81—159) wrap up the competing Bison for the event. White finished +9 in round one and +13 in round two and is positioned in a tie for 79
th at +22. Wilson, who is playing as an individual, carded rounds of +6 and +9 to finish +15 in a tie for 69
th.
Overall, the Bison (307-301—608) are in 11
th at +32 heading into the final round of the event.
The Sam Ryder Intercollegiate will conclude on Tuesday morning, with the final round scheduled to tee off at 8 a.m. ET.
