FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State men's basketball program has added transfer Jaziah Harper to its 2026 recruiting class, head coach David Richman announced Monday, April 20.
Harper is a 6-foot-7 guard/forward from Oak Park, Ill., who redshirted at Maryland for his first collegiate season in 2025-26.
"We added a great player and person to our basketball program with Jaziah Harper," said Richman. "We recruited him during his time with Don Bosco, and we are thrilled to get the opportunity to coach him. Jaziah brings an elite level of length and athleticism along with tremendous skill. He will be a fan favorite very early in his time with the Bison."
Harper redshirted this past season at Maryland and did not see game action. He averaged 17 points, 7 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 blocks per game to cap his high school career at Bosco Institute in Crown Point, Ind., shooting 52 percent overall and 37 percent from three-point range.
NDSU swept the 2026 Summit League regular season and tournament championships and earned its sixth NCAA Tournament berth since 2009.
