NDSU Wrestling Places 11 on Academic All-Big 12 Team

IRVING, Texas - North Dakota State wrestling had 11 student-athletes named to the 2026 Academic All-Big 12 Team, announced the league office this week.
NCAA National Championship qualifiers Gavin Drexler, Max Petersen and Devin Wasley headline the list of Bison to earn the academic honor, joined by Gideon Cole, Tristan Daugherty, Boeden Greenley, Shilo Jones, Alex Kowalchyk, Andrew McMonagle, Michael Olson and Tyler Secoy. 11 honorees is the most for the Bison since 2023.
To qualify for the team, student-athletes must maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher either cumulatively or during the two previous semesters, and must have participated in 20 percent of their team's scheduled contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except for participation are also eligible.
