FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State women's soccer controlled much of the second half but was unable to find the breakthrough Sunday afternoon, playing Presbyterian to a 0-0 draw at Dacotah Field.

The Bison finished the match with a 14-6 advantage in shots, including an 11-1 edge after halftime, and earned six corner kicks compared to one for the Blue Hose.

NDSU goalkeeper Payton Mulberry recorded her second shutout of the season, making one save. Presbyterian goalkeeper Alexa Garcia kept the Blue Hose level with seven saves.

The Bison generated several quality opportunities in the opening half. Morgan Russmann put two shots on goal in the first 15 minutes. Presbyterian's Maddie Smith tested Mulberry in the 17th minute, but the NDSU keeper made a comfortable stop for her only save of the game.

NDSU turned up the pressure following halftime. Russmann put four shots on frame in the second half alone, while Gabrielle Garrett added a pair of shots late in the match.

The Bison continued to press in the final minutes, earning corner kicks in the 86th and 89th minutes, but Presbyterian held on for the draw.

NDSU moves to 1-3-2 on the season, while Presbyterian stands at 2-1-1. The Bison will now head on the road for the first time in the regular season with a trip to California for a matchup at Westmont on Thursday, September 3. Kickoff against the Warriors is set for 4:15 p.m. CT in Santa Barbara.
