Carter White Named Kwik Star Summit League Peak Golfer of the Week

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State golfer Carter White has been named the Summit League Peak Men's Golfer of the Week, league officials announced on Thursday.
White posted a 54-hole total of 207 (-9) to take home his first career collegiate victory at the ANF Fall Classic in Riverside, Iowa. The Verndale, Minnesota native fired rounds of 73, 65 and 69 to guide NDSU to a fourth-place finish in their first tournament of the season.
White carded eight birdies in round two, finishing the round with a 65 that is tied for the fourth-lowest 18-hole round in program history. He posted a 31 on the front nine in round two, the lowest front-nine score of any golfer in the field.
In round three, White started out with three consecutive pars, before collecting four birdies over his next five holes to jump to the top spot on the leaderboard. He finished the day with a three-under 69, enough to claim a one-stroke victory.
Thursday's honor is the second Golfer of the Week accolade for White. He earned Co-Golfer of the Week honors with Jake Skarperud last September, following a third-place finish at the Bluejay Invitational.
White and the Bison return to action next week, traveling to Manhattan, Kansas for the Wildcat Invitational on September 14-15.
