NDSU Volleyball Stumbles at Boise State

BOISE, Idaho – The North Dakota State volleyball team came up short at Boise State, 3-0, on Thursday night in the Boise State Classic at ExtraMile Arena.
Boise State (2-2) took advantage of 15 combined North Dakota State (2-1) errors in the first two frames to win the sets, 25-16, and, 25-20. The Bison pushed back in the third frame grabbing a 7-6 lead after Zoe John delivered a kill down the line. However, the Broncos regained momentum with a 9-1 run to open up a 15-8 edge following a bad set. Boise State went on to win the set, 25-16, and the match, 3-0.
Arianna Blohm tied a season-high 12 kills with a .304 hitting percentage and one block. John added nine kills with a team-best three aces, while Emma Tallman also contributed nine kills. Sarah Pfiffner closed out the top performers with a match-high 33 assists.
NDSU will be back in action tomorrow against Idaho State. First serve is set for 4:30 p.m. CT
