Devin Klieman was named the safeties coach for the North Dakota State University football program in January 2024 and was part of a Missouri Valley Football Conference championship and NCAA Division I FCS title in his first year back with the Bison.

Klieman spent the previous five seasons on the football staff at Kansas State, where his father and former NDSU head coach, Chris Klieman, has been the head coach since 2019. He was part of a Big 12 championship in 2022 with the Wildcats.

Alongside former NDSU defensive backs coach and current Kansas State defensive coordinator Joe Klanderman, Klieman was a graduate assistant for three seasons working with the linebackers in practice while also helping break down film and run the scout team.

Klieman spent the spring of 2021 as a graduate assistant at Abilene Christian, where he assisted the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach with on-campus recruiting and player development.

A student manager for three years in the Bison football program while attending NDSU, he transferred to K-State in 2019 and spent two seasons with the Wildcats as a student assistant.

Klieman completed a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Kansas State in December 2020 and earned a master’s degree in academic advising at K-State in May 2022.
