Zach Peters joined the North Dakota State University football staff in 2021 as a graduate assistant for recruiting and operations. He was the director of football recruiting and player personnel for four months from February through June 2024.

Peters came to NDSU after four years as a student equipment manager for the Iowa State football team from 2017 to 2020. He also worked a summer internship with the Indianapolis Colts equipment staff in 2019.

Originally from Fargo, N.D., Peters graduated from Iowa State in May 2021 with a bachelor's degree in finance.
