Helena Johnston joined the NDSU athletic department in August 2006 as an Athletic Program Assistant and was named Administrative Assistant in August 2016 before her retirement in August 2023.
Johnston provided support to the Team Makers Club, men's and women's basketball, and men's and women's golf programs.
Johnston spent three years as a reservation coordinator at the NDSU Memorial Union before moving to the athletic department.
A native of Breckenridge, Minn., she graduated from the University of North Dakota with a marketing degree.
She is married to Rick Johnston and has three daughters and five grandchildren.
