Biography

2005-06 Season (Freshman): Injuries limited Lunde’s season to nine games...Recovered in time for the opener after injuring his wrist in August workouts...Missed three straight home games in December due to a concussion suffered in practice, then left the Idaho game December 21 after crashing to the floor on his first play off the bench...Did not return...Grabbed a game-high eight rebounds in 18 minutes off the bench in exhibition play against Valley City State...Shot 5-for-14 from the 3-point arc, including two treys at Minnesota and two again at Colorado State...Struck from 26 feet against Eastern Michigan.

2004-05 Season (Redshirt): Sat out the entire season as a redshirt in the Bison program.

High School: Prepped at Ulen-Hitterdal High under coach Tom Critchley Jr...Graduated in 2004...Minnesota "Mr. Basketball" award candidate...Three-year starter and the focal point of the school’s first two state-qualifying teams in 2002-03 and 2003-04...Averaged 14 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks in his three-year varsity career...MVP in the Heart O’ Lakes Conference and first-team all-state as a senior...Once scored 32 points and grabbed 22 rebounds in a single game...Had a triple-double of 15 points, 14 boards and 14 blocks in another game, all while playing on a sprained ankle...Scored over 1,000 points and had more than 800 rebounds in his career...Off the court, he was a section leader in the choir and band, played the lead role in a school musical, and was vice president of the student council for two years.

Personal: Majoring in elementary education and child and developmental family science...Worked at NDSU basketball camps and in landscaping last summer...Enjoys poker games and playing the guitar in his spare time...Son of Connie Lunde of Ulen and Steve Lunde from Fargo...Family includes an older sister, Emily, and two brothers, Marcus and Jonathan...One of his cousins, Rebecca Shane, is a member of the Concordia-Moorhead women’s volleyball team...His mother, two aunts and an uncle all attended NDSU.
