DeHoff's Take: “Nicole is an asset to our program, and continues to be a genuine ambassador for Bison Athletics.  She was starting to find her niche last season before her ACL injury.  Much will depend on how quickly she can get back to full speed.”

 

The 2008-09 Season: Had season cut short with knee injury in early January against Western Illinois (1-10-09) ... Averaged 3.8 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 16.5 minutes of playing time ... Connected on 35.4 percent from the field including 21.7 percent from the three-point line ... Hit 78.6 percent from the foul line ... Landed spot on 2008-09 Summit League Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence and Winter/Spring All-Academic Team ... Came off the bench to provide spark and score nine points, snare five rebounds and dish out four assists in win over Idaho State (11-29-08) and Loyola Marymount tournament ... Season-high two steals against Oral Roberts (12-8-08).

 

At Clarendon College: Nicole played two seasons at Clarendon College in Texas ... Starter at point guard in 2007-08 ... Ranked 7th in assists in the NJCAA ... Had 8 to 1 assist-turnover ratio ... In NJCAA Region 5, ranked 1st in assist-turnover ratio and 2nd in assists (7.6 apg) ... Regular on dean's list.

 

High School Days: A 2006 graduate of Albuquerque High School ... Four-year starter ... Scored over 1,000 points during prep career ... Earned  all-metro second team honors and named the State Farm Insurance Student-Athlete of the Year despite being slowed by knee injury as a senior ... Two-time all-district first team selection as a sophomore and junior ... Led team in scoring, assist and rebounds as a junior ... Topped Albuquerque in scoring (13.6 ppg) as a freshman ... Two-year letterwinner in cross country and track & field ... Inducted into The National Society of High School Scholars ... Member of National Honor Society and regular on honor roll.

 

Personal File: Daughter of Alvin Vigil and Sylvia Parra ... Strangest nickname was "Icewater" ... Has two brothers, Jesse and Frankie, and one sister, Monica ...
