2018-19 SEASON (Sophomore): Named to the Academic All-Big 12 Wrestling first team ... Compiled a 9-10 record overall wrestling at 157 pounds including 3-6 in duals (2-3 Big 12) ... Finished with one pin and one major decision ... Went 3-2 at Roadrunner Open (11-18-18) with a pin and a major decision.
2017-18 SEASON (Freshman): Could be found at 165, 174 and 184 pounds during the season … Compiled a 6-8 record including 1-3 in duals (0-1 Big 12) with two pins, two tech falls and a major decision … Named to the Academic All-Big 12 Wrestling second team … Started season at 165, going 2-2 at the Warren Williamson/Daktronics Open (11-5-17) … Placed sixth at 174 pounds in the Bison Open (11-11-17) … Moved up to 184 pounds for dual portion of South Beach Duals (12-30-17), picking up win against Franklin & Marshall … At the South Beach Tournament, he won two matches at 174.
2016-17 SEASON (Redshirt): Redshirt in the Bison program ... Compiled 11-5 record wrestling unattached at 165 pounds ... Pocketed four pins, two tech falls and a pair of major decisions ... Placed in the top five at three tournaments ... Finished third at the Bison Open (11-12-16) with a 5-1 record that included three pins ... Placed fifth at the Finn Grinaker Open/Gold Division (11-19-16) and at the Husky Open (12-10-16), posting a 3-2 record at both events.
HIGH SCHOOL: Five-year letterwinner for New Prague High School and head coach Greg Tikalsky ... Two-time Minnesota state tournament qualifier, placing third as a senior ...
