Former North Dakota State All-American wrestler Trent Sprenkle has joined the Bison coaching staff as a video coordinator for the 2013-14 season.
Sprenkle placed fifth at the NCAA Championships in 2013 at 125 pounds, becoming the first All-American of NDSU’s Division I era and the seventh in school history. He finished his career with 109 career wins to rank second in school history.
The Billings, Mont., native went 46-9 over the final 55 matches of his career and was named the Western Wrestling Conference Wrestler of the Year as a senior in the 2012-13 season.
Sprenkle was a three-time NCAA Championships qualifier and two-time NCAA West Regional champion at NDSU. An NWCA All-Academic performer, Sprenkle won three Montana high school state championships.
