North Dakota State men's golf alum Ian Simonich is in his first season as an assistant coach for the Bison in 2025-26.
Simonich was a two-time All-Summit League honoree for the Bison graduating in 2025 after competing in 40 events and 117 rounds over four years. Simonich is throughout the NDSU men's golf record book with three of the top rounds in program history, including a -7 round of 65 that is one shot off the program record. The Moorhead, Minnesota native owns the best 36-hole tournament score (-6) in program history and the ninth best 54-hole tournament record (-9).
Simonich recorded two career victories, six Top-5 finishes and 12 Top-10 finishes, which is sixth best in program history. His 17 rounds in the 60s is third most all-time for NDSU and helped him to three of the top 20 NDSU best individual season scoring averages, as well as the fourth best career scoring average (73.08). He finished in the top 25 of all four of his Summit Leage Championship finishes, including a third in 2024.
