Border States congratulates Max Loven, one of this week's Border States Electric Student-Athletes of the Week.
Loven, a freshman left-handed pitcher from Brooklyn Park, Minn., has a 4.0 GPA in business management. Loven has made eight starts for NDSU, and the Bison have won each of his last three outings. He earned his first collegiate victory against South Dakota State on April 13 pitching six innings and allowing two runs on five hits with three strikeouts. He fanned nine in his previous start at Purdue Fort Wayne. Loven has a 2.61 ERA with 42 strikeouts in 48 1/3 innings.
