Border States congratulates Riley Johnson, one of this week's Border States Electric Student-Athletes of the Week.
Johnson, a sophomore right-hander from Apple Valley, Minn., surrendered just one earned run on four hits with three strikeouts in 7 1/3 innings in game one of Thursday's doubleheader against the Omaha Mavericks. In eight starts, Johnson has posted a 3-4 win-loss record with a 4.11 ERA. He currently leads the Bison with 34 strikeouts. He has a 3.174 GPA in finance.
