Boeve Leads Iowa State Past North Dakota State in Three

AMES, Iowa--Middle hitter Erin Boeve tallied a match-high 11 kills to lead Iowa State to a 30-25, 30-20, 30-16 sweep of North Dakota State in college women's volleyball Saturday, Oct. 1, before a crowd of 721 at Hilton Coliseum.

Boeve, one of the NCAA's top 10 in blocks per game, made five blocks in the match and hit .500 with only two errors in 18 attacks.

The Cyclones (10-6) outhit North Dakota State by a .366 to .136 margin.

North Dakota State (1-18) got nine kills from Lindsay Shockman-Rogers, and nine kills and 17 assists from Sheila Parrish.

NDSU's Christy Stuewe connected for seven kills, Chloe Quirk added five kills and a team-high 12 digs, and setter Bethany Boelter had 15 assists in her second match back from a wrist injury.

North Dakota State is scheduled to play at Drake on Sunday, Oct. 2, at 2 p.m.

The Bulldogs are 1-15 overall and 1-5 in the Missouri Valley Conference after a 3-0 loss to league-leading Wichita State on Saturday night.
