Box Score FARGO, N.D.--Fabiana Souza had a match-high 19 kills to lead IPFW to a 30-24, 30-26, 30-23 win over North Dakota State in college women's volleyball Friday, Oct. 7, before a crowd of 486 at the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse.
Souza was the only Mastodons player to reach double figures as IPFW (13-2) outhit the Bison by a .286 to .164 margin.
Kelly Lopez had a team-high 11 kills for North Dakota State, Bethany Boelter and Sheila Parrish each had 18 assists, and Kristen Hille and Chloe Quirk made nine digs apiece.
North Dakota State, which fell to 1-20 overall and 0-3 against Division I independents, put together one of its strongest serving efforts of the season. NDSU tied a season-high with eight aces.
The Bison are home again Saturday, Oct. 8, to host Northern Colorado.
It will be youth night at the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse. Youth volleyball fans are invited to arrive early and share pizza and a visit with head coach Zaundra Bina at 6:15 p.m. before the match.
