
Three Bison Entered at 21st Annual Jim Bush USATF West Region Championships

North Dakota State's Jedd Danielson, Cory Olson and Jake Januszewski are scheduled to compete at the 21st Annual Jim Bush USATF West Region Championships held at Occidental College in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 4.
Danielson and Olson are entered in the 800-meter run while Januszewski is entered in the 1,500 and the steeplechase.
Coming off of a 1-2 finish in the 800 at the Division I independent championships hosted by the University of Northern Colorado on June 12-13, Danielson set a career-best 1:51.01 en route to the event win while Olson crossed in 1:53.38 for runner-up honors.
Danielson's mark lifted the senior into No. 4 on the school's all-time performance chart. Olson, who has a 1:52.85 clocking from 2005 to his credit, is just shy of the school's top 10.
Januszewski holds the fourth fastest time in school history in the steeplechase with a 9:04.61 set at the University of Oregon on April 22. He also took the title at the DI independents with a 9:27.94.
The West Region Track & Field Championships is part of the USATF National Club Championship Series. These championships are scored meets among USATF Clubs. Regional Championships are also being contested in the North, South, and Eastern United States prior to the 2006 USATF National Club Track & Field Championships on July 15-16 at Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, Calif.
In the season finale for the NDSU track & field squad, the Bison defended their team title at the Division I independent championships. NDSU tallied 189 points to second place UC Davis' 178.5.
