Bison Soccer Falls to Idaho 1-0 at the UTEP Border Shootout.

Box Score

EL PASO, Texas - Once again North Dakota State found itself down early, but unfortunately it was unable to rally as the Bison fall to Idaho 1-0 Sunday afternoon at the UTEP Border Shootout.  It is the second straight loss for NDSU and drops the Bison to 5-3-0 on the season.

The Vandals (4-3-0) struck early as Anna Edmonds took a feed from the right side and headed a shot that made it past the outstretched fingers of goalkeeper Monica Morgan to give Idaho the 1-0 lead in the 10th minute.  Vandal goalkeeper Anna Sandman then made six saves to preserve the victory and record her third shutout of the season.  Sophomores Lorraine Thompson and Ashley Dement each had a pair of shots on goal, but were unable to convert.  Morgan made seven saves in defeat.

North Dakota State will be back on the road this coming weekend in hopes of ending the two-game losing streak.  The Bison will be in Colorado Springs, Colo. for a pair of games, the first coming against the Air Force Academy on Friday, Sept. 28.  NDSU will then meet up with Northern Colorado on Sunday, Sept. 30.
