Francis Finishes Eighth in Pole Vault at NCAA Midwest Regional

NORMAN, Okla. - North Dakota State senior Shawn Francis finished eighth in the pole vault at the NCAA Midwest Regional on Saturday, May 30. The Hastings, Minn. native cleared 16 feet 7 1/4 inches to give the NDSU men their only points of the regional.
Junior Scott Johnson also competed in the hammer throw on day two of the regional. He finished 23rd with a throw of 166-11.
The final list of at-large participants in the NCAA Championships will be announced on Tuesday, June 2 at 2 p.m.
