Box Score FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The North Dakota State soccer team lost its second straight game Sunday night, falling 3-0 to IPFW. The Bison are now 5-4-3 overall and 0-2 in the Summit League. IPFW is 4-6-0 overall and 1-1 in the Summit League.
The home side got on the board in the third minute as Rhea Proctor scored off an assist from Tara O'Toole. NDSU responded with a shot of its own, but senior Candice D'Arcangeli's shot was saved by goalie Erin Nayler.
IPFW added a second in the 24th minute as Lisa Underwood slotted the ball past junior Kalani Bertsch.
Sophomore Brooklyn Dyce and freshman Katie Tallas both notched shots on goal in the first half as the Bison searched for a goal of their own.
NDSU held a 5-4 advantage in shots in the first half and forced four saves from Nayler.
The Bison tallied eight shots in the second half, but Underwood scored her second goal of the night late in the second half to give the home side a 3-0 lead.
For NDSU, Bertsch and redshirt freshman Kathy Kelsey split time in goal and each made one save.
The Bison held a 13-10 edge in shots, but both teams tallied five shots on goal.
The team returns to Fargo next weekend to face Western Illinois Friday, Oct. 8 and IUPUI Sunday, Oct. 10.
