Anderson Named to NGCA All-America Scholar Team

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla.--North Dakota State's Amy Anderson was named to the National Golf Coaches Association All-America Scholar Team announced on Monday, July 5.

Anderson, a freshman from Oxbow, N.D., has a 4.00 cumulative grade-point average in accounting. She led The Summit League with a 74.0 average, was runner-up at the league championship by one shot, and tied for 17th place at the NCAA West Regional as an individual competitor.

Anderson set NDSU records for an 18-hole round, 36-hole tournament and 54-hole tournament, and her five tournament victories are single-season and career records.

A total of 494 women's collegiate golfers were selected for the award by NGCA member coaches. To qualify, student-athletes must have a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA and compete in at least 50 percent of the team's rounds during the regular season (66 percent in Division II and III).
