
Green Bay Heats Up for 74-59 Win Over North Dakota State

GREEN BAY, Wis. - Keifer Sykes scored 21 points to lead five players in double figures as Green Bay beat North Dakota State 74-59 in college men's basketball Saturday, Nov. 24, at the Resch Center.
Green Bay shot a season-high 49 percent from the field and made a season-high nine 3-pointers to snap a three-game losing streak and even its record at 3-3.
Lawrence Alexander and Marshall Bjorklund had 14 points apiece and Kory Brown scored a season-high 10 points for NDSU (5-2), which shot 40 percent overall and just 12-for-21 at the foul line.
NDSU trailed by as many as 14 points in the first half. It was 20-6 before the Bison went on a 9-2 run. NDSU closed within 26-23 at the 1:58 mark before Green Bay scored six straight for a 32-23 halftime lead.
The Phoenix hit five 3-pointers in the first six minutes of the second half to take their biggest lead of the night at 53-33 and the Bison got no closer than 12 the rest of the way.
NDSU had a 37-31 advantage in rebounds led by seven apiece from Bjorklund and TrayVonn Wright. Jordan Fouse had eight rebounds and four blocks to lead the Phoenix.
Sultan Muhammad made four 3-pointers and finished with 13 points for Green Bay. Kam Cerroni made three triples and scored 12 points, Brennan Cougill had 12 points, six rebounds and five assists, and 7-footer Alec Brown scored 10.
It was the fifth game in eight days for North Dakota State, which had a four-game winning streak snapped. NDSU opens Summit League play at home against Omaha at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29.
