Men's Individual Results
AMES, Iowa – The North Dakota State men's cross country team took 20th place at the NCAA Midwest Regional held at the Iowa State University Cross Country Course on Friday, Nov. 15. The Bison improved six spots over their 26th-place team finish a season ago.
Junior Brett Kelly was the top finisher for NDSU, placing 69th with a time of 31:51.7 for the 10-kilometer course. He improved 51 places over his finish at the 2012 Midwest Regional.
Sophomore Bryon Schuldt was the No. 2 finisher for the Bison, taking 87th place in 32:12.5. Lucas DeGree was 99th in 32:29.7, Alec Espeland was 112th in 32:34.8, and Brendan Skime completed the team scoring with 122nd place in 32:41.2.
With juniors Marty Joyce and Grady Anderson in the sixth and seventh positions for NDSU, Espeland was the only senior in the Bison top seven.
Kelly was the top finisher for the Bison in all six races this season.
Oklahoma State won the men's team title with 45 points, and Tulsa took runner-up honors with 57. Chris O'Hare of Tulsa won the individual title in 30:28.0.
