Friday's Game: The North Dakota State University men's basketball team will play the No. 10-ranked Texas Longhorns in the 2014-15 season opener on Friday, Nov. 14. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. inside the Frank Erwin Center (capacity 16,540) in Austin, Texas.
2k Classic: Friday's game is the first of four for NDSU as part of the 2k Classic benefiting Wounded Warrior Project. The Bison will travel to No. 25 Iowa on Monday, Nov. 17, before returning home to host Kennesaw State and either Hampton or Alcorn State on Nov. 21-22.
Television: Live coverage will be on ESPN's Longhorn Network with Olympic gold medalist Paul Sunderland (play-by-play), Lance Blanks (analyst) and Tyler Denning (reporter) calling the action. The game will also be available through ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app to subscribers of the Longhorn Network.
Radio: KFGO-AM 790 of Fargo will broadcast live with Gary Rogers calling play-by-play. Coverage includes 20-minute pregame and postgame shows. Free audio streaming will be available at GoBison.com/allaccess.
About Texas: Texas returns all five starters from last year's team that finished with a 24-11 overall record, including an 11-7 mark in the Big 12. The Longhorns will be led by senior forward Jonathan Holmes, who earned a spot on last year's All-Big 12 second team, along with junior center Cameron Ridley, sophomore point guard Isaiah Taylor and freshman forward Myles Turner, who was the No. 2-rated recruit in the nation.
Series History: NDSU and Texas have never met in basketball. The Bison are 1-7 against members of the Big 12 Conference in the Division I era (since 2004-05), with an 80-75 overtime victory over No. 5 seed Oklahoma in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on March 20, 2014.

Every Game: NDSU senior guard Lawrence Alexander has started all 98 games in his career. He has averaged 34.3 minutes per game over his first three seasons. Since 1999, the only Bison to average more minutes is all-time leading scorer Ben Woodside at 34.9 minutes per game.
