The North Dakota State University track & field teams will host the NDSU Tune-Up Meet at Schlanser Track and the Ellig Sports Complex on Friday, May 9. South Dakota State and North Dakota are expected to compete with the host Bison.
Field events are scheduled to begin with the women's hammer throw at 1 p.m. Javelin competition begins at 2:30 p.m., with the pole vault at 3 p.m. and high jump and long jump at 3:30 p.m. Running events will begin with the 3,000m steeplechase at 4:45 p.m.
NDSU will recognize its 2014 senior class following the completion of the meet around 7 p.m.
The meet will be NDSU's final competition before the Summit League Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Fargo on May 15-17. The Bison women are six-time defending Summit League outdoor champions, while the NDSU men have won four straight outdoor team titles.
