FARGO, N.D. – The Oral Roberts University Golden Eagles (26-10, 14-2 Summit League) tallied 15 runs on 18 hits to help them roll to a 15-4 win in seven innings over the North Dakota State University baseball team (8-23, 3-13 Summit League) in the opening game of a three-game Summit League series on a pristine Friday evening, April 17, at Newman Outdoor Field.
The Bison and Golden Eagles will square-off in a doubleheader on Saturday, April 18, at 1 p.m. to close out the series.
Paul Funk led the Bison at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI. Six other Bison each collected a hit in the game.

David Ernst took the loss on the mound for NDSU after surrendering five earned runs on six hits with three walks in three innings of work.
The Golden Eagles jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the top of the second and never looked back, plating three runs in the third, two in the fourth and six in the seventh to claim the triumph.
Matt Whatley paced ORU in the batter's box, going 2-for-6 with a home run and five runs batted in.
Right-hander Guillermo Trujillo tallied the win for Oral Roberts to improve to 6-2 overall after allowing only three earned runs on seven hits with seven strikeouts and just one walk in five-and two-thirds innings pitched.
