2015 SEASON (SENIOR): Made 16 starts for NDSU on the mound, a team-high and single season record, and pitched a team-high 87 innings ... Compiled a record of 2-10 with 49 strikeouts, 41 walks and an ERA of 5.28 ... Surrendered 51 earned runs on 112 hits ... Struck out a season-high six batters and tossed a complete game in a 2-1 win over Fort Wayne on May 3 ... Also threw a complete game at Western Illinois on March 27 ... Allowed a season-low three hits in the win over Fort Wayne on May 3 ... Holds NDSU career record for games started with 53 and ranks second in most innings pitched with 312.1 ... Is fourth in total wins with 18 ... Named to The Summit League Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll as a Distinguished Scholar and The Summit League Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence.     

2014 SEASON (JUNIOR): Made 15 starts for NDSU on the mound, a team-high, and pitched a team-high 95 innings ... Compiled a record of 5-5 with 43 strikeouts, 30 walks and an ERA of 3.60 ... Allowed 38 earned runs on 108 hits ... Matched his season-high with six strikeouts in NDSU's NCAA regional contest against No. 1 National Seed Oregon State May 30 ... Struck out a season-best six batters against Omaha April 12 ... Allowed a season-low three hits in a 4-1 win at Murray State Feb. 28 ... Also had 54 at bats and hit .222 with 12 hits, 11 runs scored, 10 RBI and three doubles ... Named All-Summit League second-team as a pitcher ... Selected to The Summit League Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence and The Summit League Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll.

2013 SEASON (SOPHOMORE): Made 15 starts in the weekend rotation ... Went 5-5 with a 3.43 ERA over 81 1/3 innings ... Right-handed batters hit just .232 ... Tossed two shutouts including a two-hit gem against Western Illinois in the second round of the Summit League tournament to clinch a spot in the championship ... Fanned a career-high seven batters in that game after giving up 10 hits and being tagged with a loss two weeks prior at Western Illinois ... Earned a spot on the Summit League all-tournament team ... Named Summit League Pitcher of the Week after a seven-inning shutout at Tennessee-Martin, where he allowed three hits, walked two and struck out four ... At the plate, hit .265 in 34 at-bats and had a .324 on-base percentage.

2012 SEASON (FRESHMAN): Went 6-0 with a 3.67 ERA in 49 innings ... Made 14 appearances including seven starts ... Made a pair of midweek starts before moving into the weekend rotation as the No. 2 starter and earning four straight wins over the final four weeks of the regular season ... Longest outing was against Southern Utah when he tossed seven innings of two hit ball for a 4-1 win ... Season-high three strikeouts twice ... Named to the Summit League Winter/Spring All-Academic Team.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated in 2011 from Fargo South High School ... Four-year letterman and three-time team MVP as a pitcher, outfielder and first baseman ... Two-time North Dakota Gatorade Player of the Year and named the state's senior baseball Player of the Year in 2011 ... Team went 35-2 and won the Class A state championship ... Hit .474 with 17 extra-base hits including four home runs and 46 RBIs his senior year, and went 7-0 with one save and a 0.62 ERA in 48 innings on the mound ... Over his four-year varsity career, had a 21-2 record with three saves, 11 shutouts, and a 0.95 ERA ... Set career records for runs (87), hits (109), doubles (32), RBIs (109), wins (21) and strikeouts (249), and single-season records with 93 strikeouts and eight wins his junior year ... Played summer baseball for the Fargo Metro Expos in 2010 and 2011.

PERSONAL: Son of Keith Ernst and Debora Egge of Fargo ... Majoring in exercise science ... Mother graduated from NDSU ... Selected in the 47th round of the 2011 Major League Baseball draft by the Chicago Cubs with the 1,419th pick overall.
