Taylor Sanders each drove in a pair of runs, while
Drew Fearing collected a team-and game-high three hits in five at bats.

The Bison jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the first on a RBI single from Hechtner, but Mayville State answered and took a 2-1 lead with a pair of runs in the top of the third.
The Comets scored two more runs in the fifth to increase their lead to 4-1, but NDSU scored four runs in the bottom-half of the frame, to gain a 5-4 advantage. Hechtner plated the first run of the inning on a RBI triple to right field, before Petersen and Core worked back-to-back walks, loading the bases. Two straight wild pitches with one out and the bases loaded scored two more runs, and an infield RBI single from Resch plated the go-ahead run for the Bison.
Mayville State answered, though, regaining the lead at 7-5 after scoring three runs in the seventh, but the Bison tied the game in the bottom-half of the inning after a one-out, two RBI pinch-hit single through the left side from Sanders.
