FARGO, N.D. – Sophomore Paul Miller scored 18 points, and junior Carlin Dupree added 16 points off the bench to lift the North Dakota State men's basketball team to a 75-49 win over Denver in the Summit League opener for the Bison on Sunday afternoon. It was NDSU's 31st consecutive victory at home, setting a new all-time Summit League record for the longest home win streak.

NDSU (11-4 overall, 1-0 Summit League) shot a season-best 62 percent for the game, including an 8-of-12 effort from three-point range. The Bison also capitalized on a 28-14 rebounding advantage over the Pioneers.

Khy Kabellis (15 points) and A.J. Jacobson (11) also scored in double figures for the Bison. Senior Kory Brown led the team with eight rebounds.

Denver (8-7 overall, 0-2 Summit) was led by 16 points from freshman Joe Rosga.

The Bison held a 15-14 lead nearly eight minutes into the game before a 10-0 run pushed the margin to 11. Dupree hit a jumper, Miller poured in back-to-back threes, and Khy Kabellis added a bucket to make it 25-14 NDSU.

Denver cut its deficit to five at 32-27 with 1:39 left in the first half, but Brown converted a three-point play to give the Bison a 35-27 lead at halftime. NDSU used a 17-5 run to put the game out of reach in the second half.

NDSU shot season-best percentages from three-point range and overall. Miller made 4-of-6 attempts from beyond the arc. Senior forward Chris Kading scored eight points on perfect 4-of-4 shooting in the second half.

The Bison are now 30-6 in their last 36 games against conference opponents.

The Bison will host Omaha at Scheels Arena on Thursday, Jan. 7. Tip is set for 7 p.m.
