Teschuk Captures 7th Career First-Team All-America Honor

EUGENE, Ore. – North Dakota State senior distance runner Erin Teschuk earned her seventh career first-team All-America honor, placing eighth in the 3,000m steeplechase on Saturday afternoon at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Hayward Field.
Teschuk (Winnipeg, Manitoba) recorded a season-best time of 9:56.71.
The top eight finishers in each event at the NCAA Championships earn first-team All-America recognition. Teschuk concludes her collegiate career with four first-team All-America honors in indoor track, two in outdoor track, and one in cross country – the most by any athlete in NDSU's Division I era. She placed fifth at the NCAA Championships in the steeplechase last season.
Courtney Frerichs of New Mexico won the steeplechase title with a collegiate record of 9:24.41.
Teschuk plans to run the steeplechase at the Canadian Olympic Trials in Edmonton, Alberta, on July 8. She concludes her collegiate track career as the NDSU school record holder in seven events.
