DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University Bulldogs claimed a 2-0 shutout win over the North Dakota State University women's soccer team Sunday, Sept. 3, at Cownie Stadium.
Drake (3-2-0) took a 1-0 lead after a goal in the 41st-minute from Olivia Bruce before Shelley Lyjak scored in the 69th-minute to increase the Bulldog advantage to 2-0.
For the match, Drake outshot NDSU (0-6-0), 24-9, including an 11-5 advantage in shots on goal.

Danielle Algera led the Bison with four shots and three shots on goal, while junior goalkeeper
Julia Edelstein (0-3-0) matched her career-high with seven saves in between the posts.
North Dakota State is scheduled to play at Northern Colorado Friday, Sept. 8, at 8 p.m. MT.
